Each of us is the result of a thought of God. Each of us is willed, each of us is loved, each of us is necessary. Pope Benedict XVI

Update

Thomas is fine.  He will have a short finger for the rest of his life but in the big picture he is okay.  So far it seems to be healing fine.  He got the stitches out today and we go back in a couple weeks to check it again.

He enjoyed some get well gifts including this big bag of jelly beans.

We were able to get him an iPad from the public school.  He uses talk to text to do most of his homework and then we print it each evening.  It works for everything but spelling (when you are supposed to be learning how to actually spell words, not just say them) and math, which his teacher has been kind enough to allow him to do with a partner.
Thanks for all the prayers!

Happy Easter!

Our Easter this year is a long story but Alleluia! He is risen, He is risen indeed!

Holy Week

We dyed eggs this year.

Philip worked on peanut butter chocolate eggs.

I got a wild hair and tried a new roll shape.

Julia helped with the lamb rolls.

We now interrupt this regularly scheduled Holy Week for a severe injury.

Thomas

Thomas hurt his hand in a lawn mower accident on Saturday.  He's okay but he lost the top of his middle finger on his right hand.  We have a doctor appointment Tuesday to see how it's healing and what the plan going forward is.

He's Prepared

For what I'm not sure.  But he's ready.

Not Your Way

M:  Nicholas, maybe your rescue bots would like to rescue the saints today.
N:  No we aren't going to play that.....Mom!  I know!  The saints could go on the mountain and one of them could fall and the rescue bots could rescue them!
M:  Wow.  Great idea.

Yard Work

Jeremy brought home a tractor to pick up a large branch that broke off our big tree in the back.  Almost everyone enjoyed some time riding along.  Julia and Philip rode too.

This is not the whole branch.  There was a lot more of it!
