Each of us is the result of a thought of God. Each of us is willed, each of us is loved, each of us is necessary. Pope Benedict XVI

Rest in Peace

My grandma Helen passed away at the end of September just weeks shy of 95 years old.  We'd just had a great family gathering at Labor Day so everyone had see her recently, which was a blessing.

We will remember Grandma for her strong convictions, deep love and, of course, amazing baking.

Grandma didn't love to have her picture taken but this is one of my favorites.  She's holding Philip at his baptism.

Marching Band

Samuel and the marching band had a very successful season!  Four contests and four superior ratings!  I got to see the show once and it was good.  They played songs from Jersey Boys.

Samuel is first in this line.

They had some fun elements in the show, like this pose at the end.
Congrats on a great season Sam!

Social Calendar

Apparently Nicholas decided it was time to see Maclin, his friend from preschool last year.
Unfortunately, that day didn't end up working but we'll get you a play date soon buddy.

Braces Second Kid

Thomas got braces at the beginning of October.  For now just the tops, bottoms when a couple of teeth finish coming in.

We had some corn in the freezer so here's his last corn on the cob.

Straightening out.

New GodDAUGHTER

Jeremy and I have a new GodDAUGHTER!  Our sweet new niece, Clara Faith.  Even in Godkids I'm short on girls....only 2 out of 7.
This is a nice family picture!
Welcome to God's family Clara!

Thomas Football

Thomas's football team had a pretty good year.  I'd guess they were pretty even on wins and losses but I don't know their record.  Thomas has a lot of really athletic boys in his class so he didn't play a ton but he got into most games for some plays.  He enjoyed playing and being part of the team.

Proud Little Brothers

We took our family to see our newly renovated church and while we were there Thomas helped the little boys dress as altar boys.  They were pretty proud of themselves.  We couldn't resist a picture before sending them to change.
