Each of us is the result of a thought of God. Each of us is willed, each of us is loved, each of us is necessary. Pope Benedict XVI

Happy Thanksgiving!

Usually we don't go to Beth's because there's too many people for her space but Burdas were in California for Thanksgiving.

We did a puzzle of course.  And you can see none of our pumpkins made it to Thanksgiving this year so I bought a cheap acorn squash to keep up the tradition.

No party at Beth's is complete without the confetti cannon!

We also celebrated with Vranas and this is the only pic I have.  Thomas telling Clara a (hilarious, I'm sure) story!

As always, so much to be thankful for!

From Her Point of View

The state football championship was exciting for Julia becasue they got to perform at half time again.
They had a great time and sounded good.

It was cold and windy but not as cold and windy as last year!
We had a fun time watching them both!

State Champions!

Bishop Neumann was back in the championship this year and they won!
Philip didn't play, except maybe a play at the end but he enjoyed the experience!
They played Grand Island Central Catholic.  Sam has a friend at Newman from there so they bet each other wearing the other team's gear for a day.  I didn't hear if Sam made him do it.  :)

So good at standing on the sideline!
It's okay.  He'll get his chance.  I'm not upset, it was just a lot of standing around at the practices leading up to the game and the game itself.

This is Coach Pav 2.0.  His brother coached Sam's senior/Thomas's junior year.  Pav 1.0 wasn't my favorite so I was skeptical of the choice but this Pavlik seems okay.  Less of a fanatic, better football-life balance.  He's coach 6 in in 8 years and I've had a boy in football 7 of those years.  For now I'm hoping this one will stick around.

A friend took a picture of him on her tv so we can see his face!

With the trophy...somewhere in Memorial stadium I think.
 Congrats on an amazing season!

Kid Pics

Managed to get in our family photos for the year.

This is Julia's favorite

This one was mine.

Had to do a back-to-back
I feel like our choice for who was taller was iffy..or someone stood on her tiptoes.
But we got the stairsteps.

And the age order

Only had to do two individual kids since Julia had senior pictures.

with... drat.  I've forgotten this one's name.

Amelia Earhart

Julia performed in the one act again this fall.  It was Amelia Earhart.  It was an interesting play and less weird than many one acts.  But of course it didn't have a happy ending.

I especially liked how they formed the airplane.

She was the reporter, who basically narrated the show.
She had a great time and enjoyed the production!  They won lots of awards competing and had a great season.

 Great job Julia!

Northern Lights

You couldn't see the northern lights without using a camera set on low light.  But they were pretty cool anyway!

Congrats Mr. and Mrs. Cosse!

My cousin Michelle got married!  Did I learn what her new last name would be when I read it on the program?  Maybe.  I might have learned it at her bridal shower.  Definitely learned how to pronounce it at the wedding. (The e is not silent.)  It was a beautiful wedding and a fun day!
