Each of us is the result of a thought of God. Each of us is willed, each of us is loved, each of us is necessary. Pope Benedict XVI

Thomas Messed Up My Stair Steps

Before school when I took the big boys for their sports physicals they were exactly the same height.  Two months later- not any more.  I understand Samuel's plight so we haven't actually measured or made them go back to back.

We did this to help Samuel out.

And this to make Nicholas laugh.

Julia didn't like either one!

Halloween

We accidentally grew 7 pumpkins this year!  We had a volunteer plant at the edge of the field where we throw food scraps.  The kids also brought some home from school and field trips so we have plenty of pumpkins.
We carved them outside this year which was great!  The kids found some kid friendly carving sets I had stashed in our Halloween box so I had to do very little, which is how I like it!

Julia was a black panther,

Philip was a wizard,

Nicholas was a cowboy

and Thomas was...can you guess?

pumpkin pie.

Here he is lamenting that this is his LAST year to trick or treat.  Yes, I'm aware I said that last year too but this time I mean it.  No high school trick or treaters here.
Samuel was at the Vigil Mass for All Saints Day with the football team.  He hasn't wanted to dress up or go trick or treating for a couple years any way.

Picture Time

I took the kids' pictures myself this year.  Maybe I should have borrowed a camera from someone with something a little better than a point and shoot.  I forgot to turn off the date stamp until part way through.  Rats.  Oh well.  They came out pretty good.

My faves.

Pretty fall colors.

A few more.

I'm hoping to get a picture of the seven of us for the Christmas card later this month when we do pictures with Jeremy's family.  We'll see.
