Prom

Both boys had a date to prom this year.

Samuel went with his friend Alexis.

It was nice but super windy, hence the bottom right picture.

Thomas went with his friend Amanda.

Julia and I went to the picture sessions and enjoyed picking our favorite dresses.  The junior girls won, with Kya in the light blue (second collage, bottom right picture, second row all the way to the right)  winning over all best dress from Julia and I.

Samuel was on prom court and then much to my (but apparently not to others') surprise, he got prom king!  Carly Zwick was queen.  

My favorite comment from him was "I can't believe how many people came up and said, 'I voted for you!'"  Well kid, you won.  That means lots of people voted for you.

I can't say I was the most excited mom about him winning but I am proud of him for being a nice enough kid that others wanted to vote for him.  Congrats Samuel!

District music

The night of the FFA banquet there was a dress rehersal for district music.

And then at districts their quintet got a Superior!  Great job clarinet section!

 After 3 successful years in FFA Samuel passed the presidency on and retired his jacket.

Congrats Samuel!

 Jeremy's made some progress since these pictures.  The ceiling drywall is up so it's moving along!

Holy Week and Easter Prep

For whatever reason Julia and Nicholas REALLY wanted to make unleavened bread.  

Note for future:  It should be much flatter.

There was all the fun Easter treat prep.
