State FFA

 Samuel received his State degree at State FFA this year.  It was the first time he was able to go to the convention because he wasn't in FFA as a freshman and it was cancelled/virtual because of Covid the last two years.  

He came in first out of hundreds of competetors in Farm management systems and recieved a scholarship which is great...except the scholarship is specifically to CASNR (the UNL ag college) and while Samuel has decided to go to UNL he won't be in ag.  He's majoring in Chemical Engineering.  Great job Samuel anyway!

Samuel has really enjoyed FFA and being president this year.  Congrats on all your hard work!

Happy Birthday Jeremy!

 After watching Philip wrestle at State we stopped by my parents to collect Nicholas and Julia and celebrate birthdays.

Philip at State

Philip had fun wrestling at State.  He lost, won then lost so he was out after three rounds.  He was glad to get a win a state!  Good wrestling Philip!

Happy Birthday Leprechaun Philip!

Philip got to celebrate his birthday twice.

Thank you Grandma Helen for the tall candles.  I got them when she passed away and hadn't used them yet.  Where did she get them?  They are the only kind she ever had at her house but I've never seen them in stores.  A grandma special I guess.

Then he got to celebrate at Grandma Susan's too.  Nick and Julia made him this cake with Grandma while they were at her house enjoying not watching Philip wrestle at State.

Little Boy Districts

I have to admit, I'm so far behind on the blog, I don't remember the details of Nick's and Philip's district matches.

Nicholas wrestled hard but just missed going to state.

Two of his biggest fans, Jacob and one of Jacob's sisters (his sisters are twins and there's no way I know which one this is from the back!)

Philip got 4th place so he got to go to state!

Wrestling Banquet

 Samuel was named Captain and Thomas shared the "Most Improved Wrestler" title with Max.
