So it started off with Thomas missing the bus. Samuel got on and they left! I know the driver doesn't pay attention to what day it is and if Thomas has school but I"m wondering if Samuel tried to tell him Thomas was coming. So I had to quick get Julia dressed, wake up Philip (who did not appreciate it) and get Thomas to school in 25 minutes. On the plus side, since we were there, we went to Mass. Afterwards the nice lady behind us said, "Don't worry, it gets better!" Luckily I am not easily insulted because I actually thought we did really well! Julia said her first three word sentence (during Mass of course) "I see Samuel?" It's hard to pick out your brother sitting in the third row when you are way in the back, especially
when he, along with about half the school, is wearing a red jacket.
We went home after Mass because I didn't feel like killing an hour and a half in town and it was lucky for Thomas because a (wonderful) friend called and said, "We're going to the zoo, would you like me to take Thomas too?" So we met at preschool so she could get the car seat and sent him off with them. Julia was really confused though because we went to school and did not get Thomas. She kept asking, "Thomas? Thomas?" I think she thought I forgot him or something.
Oh, and while I was home I folded some laundry and discovered Samuel had something red in a pair of school pants that got on a whole bunch of stuff. Unfortunately I didn't notice before I put everything in the dryer. Hope it comes out!!!
I have since found out it was a pencil top eraser that had a little pink crayon in it. So that's why I didn't see it until it came out of the dryer. It wasn't there until the dryer melted the crayon! Anyone know how to get crayon out?
Then we headed to the bank where Julia happily climbed up in a chair in one of the banker's cubicles and chatted with her while I made my deposits. She sat there for five minutes and answered all the lady's questions while eating the Smarties she got, which may have been why she was so happy!
Then it was on to the doctor's for Philip's two week check up. He's doing fine but is still not gaining weight. He's down to 7 lbs 8 oz but we're hoping he's bottomed out now because he'd only lost half an ounce since Monday. I have to wake him up and convince him to eat more and get him weighed every couple days until we get him headed the right direction.
Julia and I had lunch at
Runza because I figured she would fall asleep on the way home and naps always last longer on a full stomach!
Raleen is coming to take the kids to the park after school and packed them some dinner so they can have a picnic too.
I think everyone will sleep well tonight!
